- 1 loaf French or Italian bread
- 1 1/3 c. Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 1/3 c. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 1/3 c. white wine
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 piece garlic, peeled
- 1 shot glass Kirsch
- pepper to taste
- dusting of paprika and nutmeg
Directions

1Cut the bread into small cubes, making sure that most pieces have some crust.

2Grate the cheeses.

3Mix wine with cornstarch and stir into cheeses. Bring mixture over low heat to a boil.

4Add garlic, Kirsch, pepper, paprika and nutmeg.
