- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. packed dark brown sugar
- 11 1/2 oz. milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 36 (2 x 2-inch) saltine crackers
Directions

1In small saucepan, over medium high heat, blend butter and brown sugar.

2Heat to boiling and boil for 4 minutes.

3Cover 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan with foil and butter lightly.

4Place single layer of saltine crackers on foil close together.

5Pour butter mixture over crackers spreading evenly.

6Bake at 375° for 5 minutes.

7Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

8Allow to soften.

9Spread evenly over cooked crackers.

10Sprinkle with nuts. Refrigerate until cool.

11Break into pieces and store in tin container in refrigerator.

12Can be kept in refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks.
