- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. lard
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 well beaten egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- flour to make a soft dough (about 4 c.)
Directions

1Pour boiling water over sugar and lard.

2When lard is melted, add cold water.

3Add to this the eggs, salt and yeast cake, compressed and dissolved in lukewarm water.

4Add enough flour to make a soft dough.

5Put dough in icebox until ready to use.
