- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. butter (4 small slices)
- 1/4 tsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Blend eggs, sugar and milk well. Gradually add extract, mixing all the ingredients together.

3Now add cornstarch; be sure to blend this in well to avoid lumps. Blend in nutmeg.

4Stir; now add the butter.

5Pour into pie shell. Garnish top of pie with nutmeg.
