Frank'S Old Fashioned Parched Corn

- 4 to 6 ears fresh corn-on-the-cob
- 2 Tbsp. butter (early recipe used lard)
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cut fresh sweet corn off cob. Melt butter in frying pan and pour in some dry corn. Put a lid on and cook on top of the stove or put in the oven.

2Stir frequently and let it brown. Sprinkle with salt (pepper is optional).

3Corn should not be piled too thick.

4May repeat, using 1/2 the corn.

5Serve hot. Great while watching T.V.

6Will serve 4 to 6.
