- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. French vanilla pudding
- 1 medium bowl Cool Whip
- 1 baked 9-inch pie crust
Directions

1In small mixing bowl, cream the butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming until light.

2Add chocolate and vanilla.

3Beat in egg. Continue beating for 3 minutes at medium speed. Spoon into crust. Prepare mix according to package directions except in place of 2 cups milk, use 1 1/2 cups.

4Let stand until thick.

5Pour over mixture. Chill until firm. Top with Cool Whip.
