Ingredients
- 3 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 1/2 c. warm milk
- 5 or 6 c. all-purpose or bread flour
- 4 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; add milk, oil, salt and sugar. Stir until sugar and salt is dissolved.

2Pour flour into large bowl; pour liquid into flour and work until dough becomes stiff. Knead by hand for 5 minutes.

3Put dough into greased bowl; grease top of dough.

4Cover with towel and let rise until double in size. Remove from bowl and punch down.

5Divide into 4 pieces and shape into long loaves.

6Brush with egg white and 1 tablespoon water. Let rise again for 35 to 40 minutes.

7Preheat oven to 475°.

8Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
