- 1 pkg. yeast
- 3 c. bread flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter (sweet gives most authentic taste)
- 1 c. less 1 Tbsp. hot water
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Directions

1Whip egg whites and set aside.

2Mix yeast, flour, sugar and salt together.

3Add butter and water; mix until moist.

4Add egg whites and mix.

5Knead dough on floured surface about 10 to 15 minutes, until dough is elastic.

6Put dough into lightly greased bowl and grease top lightly.

7Cover bowl with clean cloth.

8Let rise until doubled (about 1 1/2 hours).
