- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 c. flour
- 1 egg white
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast on 1/4 cup warm water.

2Let stand a few minutes, then stir until dissolved.

3Pour 1 cup boiling water over the shortening, salt and sugar in large mixing bowl.

4Add 3/4 cup cold water and cool to lukewarm.

5Add yeast and gradually beat in enough flour to form a stiff dough.
