  • 1 loaf (1 lb.) French bread (not sliced)
  • 1/2 c. margarine (soft)
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions or chives
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheese (Mozzarella, Velveeta or American)

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Spoon mixture between slices and spread evenly.
