Ingredients: 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces; 2 Tbsp. instant coffee; 4 Tbsp. water; 2/3 c. sugar; 1 1/3 sticks butter; 3 eggs (separated); 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar; pinch of salt; 1/3 c. pulverized blanched almonds; 1/4 tsp. almond extract; 3/4 c. plain flour; whole or sliced almonds (for garnish, optional)
