- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. milk
- 1 cake yeast, dissolved in lukewarm water
- 2 eggs
- 7 1/2 c. flour (more or less)
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

2Add milk. When lukewarm, add the dissolved yeast.

3Add beaten eggs and enough flour to make mixture thick.

4Keep in refrigerator overnight or until cold.

5Roll out in flour.

6Cut into doughnuts. Fry in 400° to 425° shortening.
