French Fried Shrimp

  • 1 c. Aunt Jemima pancake mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3/4 c. cold water
  • 2 lb. fresh shrimp, cleaned

Directions

    Combine pancake mix, salt, pepper and cold water in bowl. Beat with rotary beater for 2 minutes.

    Dip shrimp in batter. Drain.

    Fry in hot deep fat (375°) for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Drain on absorbent paper.

    Serve with cocktail sauce.

    Lobster and scallops can be used in place of shrimp.
