- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Combine shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and egg in bowl, mixing well.

2Sift next 4 ingredients together.

3Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

4Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

5Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Dip immediately in melted butter and then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
