Ingredients
- 6 lb. tart apples
- 3 c. water
- 3 c. sugar (approximately)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Directions

1Do not core, seed or peel apples.

2Just cut into quarters. Cook in enough water to cover for 30 to 35 minutes or until tender.

3Put apples and liquid through a sieve or food mill. Measure pulp and for each cup, mix in 1 cup sugar.

4Add cinnamon and cloves.

5Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is thick and smooth (approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours). Pour into hot, clean jars.

6Seal and refrigerate.
