  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 c. chopped apples

Directions

    Cream sugar, oil and eggs; beat.

    Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices; add to creamed mixture (will be quite stiff).

    Add apples and nuts.

    Mix by hand.

    Bake in rectangular pan at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
