  • 2 c. unpeeled fresh apples (no cores)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 scant tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cut up apples and blend with sugar.

    Let stand for 30 minutes. Add beaten egg and oil together.

    Add mixture to dry ingredients and stir.

    Put in baking pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Serve warm with whipped cream.
