- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 cups cored and chopped apples (1 lb.)
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Directions

1Cream butter and gradually add sugar.

2Add yogurt and egg and beat until fluffy.

3Combine dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture.

4Add apples and nuts and mix until blended.

5Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan.

6Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
