Ingredients
- 4 c. fresh blackberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/16 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- pastry for 9-inch double crust pie (deep dish may work best)
Directions

1Wash and cap berries.

2Cover with 1 cup sugar.

3Allow to sit for about 30 minutes.

4Mix lemon juice with berries.

5Combine flour with 4 tablespoons sugar, ground cinnamon, salt and ground cloves.

6Gently stir into the berry-sugar mixture.

7Spoon into prepared pastry lined pie plate.

8Dot with butter.

9Cover with top pastry.

10Cut several gashes in top crust.

11Bake at 405° about 40 minutes or until crust is brown.
