Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. orange juice
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1 c. cranberries, chopped
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.

3Combine juice and rind with egg. Pour into dry ingredients.

4Mix just enough to dampen.

5Carefully fold in nuts and chopped cranberries.

6Spoon into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.

7Spread corners slightly higher than centers.

8Bake at 350° for 1 hour, until crust is golden brown.
