- 12 Large Black Mission Figs
- 4 Large eggs + 2 yolks
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions

1Pre-heat oven to 375°

2Butter a 1.5 quart shallow baking dish and set aside.

3In a large bowl whisk together the almond flour and salt and set to the side.

4Whip the eggs with an electric mixer until frothy.

5Gradually add the sugar.

6Add the vanilla. Mix well.

7Gradually add the almond flour mixture to the egg mixture. Mix until well incorporated. The consistency should be that of a thin crepe batter.

8Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and place the figs in the dish with the cut side facing up so that it will just peek out of the batter.

9Dot the surface with the cold butter and bake until golden about 35 - 45 minutes or until its no longer runny at the center.

10Cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
