- 2 c. fresh fruit, sliced (if needed)
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- dash of salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Toss fruit lightly with 1 cup of the sugar.

2Set aside.

3Melt butter in deep baking pan or glass dish in a 350° oven.

4Stir together remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, milk and salt; pour over melted butter.

5Do not stir!

6Put sweetened fruit on top of batter.

7Do not stir!

8Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until crust is golden brown.

9(The batter will rise to the top during baking.) Makes 6 to 8 servings.
