- 6 eggs whites
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- fresh peaches, sliced and sprinkled with sugar
- 2 c. cream, whipped
- 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds, toasted
Directions

1Day Before:

2Preheat oven to 275°.

3Beat eggs with salt until frothy.

4Add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time, then add vinegar and vanilla.

5Beat 10 minutes.

6Cut 2 (9-inch) circles from brown paper.

7Spread 1/2 of meringue on each circle.

8Place circles on cookie sheet.

9Bake for 1 hour.

10Let cool in oven.

11When cool, store in covered container.
