- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 2 tbsp fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 13.5 oz pasta
Directions

1In a small frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add pine nuts and stir until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels. Let cool.

2In a food processor, combine cooled pine nuts, basil, garlic, cheese and sugar. Pulse until combined. With the motor running, slowly add olive oil and process until combined.

3Meanwhile, cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain. Return pasta to saucepan and add pesto. Toss gently over low heat until heated through.
