- 1/2 cup strawberries sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup strawberry syrup
- 3 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions

1Combine strawberries and sugar and let stand 30 minutes.

2Bring to a boil, and simmer 3 minutes.

3Strain through wire sieve.

4Measure strawberry syrup, adding water if necessary to make 3/4 cup.

5Pour into small saucepan.

6Mix cornstarch, water, and lemon juice; add to strawberry syrup.

7Bring to a boil, and cook gently 4 to 6 minutes, or until thickened.

8Cool slightly and spread over cake which has been frosted with Fresh Strawberry Frosting, letting it run down on sides.

9Let stand about 1 hour to allow glace to become firm.
