Fresh Strawberry Pie

Directions

   Clean and cut strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar and set aside. Combine sugar, water, cornstarch and salt.

   Boil until thick.

   Add 1 package of strawberry jello less 1 tablespoon.

   Add a few drops of red food coloring, if desired.

   Pour 1/2 mixture into baked pie shell; add strawberries.

   Pour remaining mixture over strawberries.

   Chill.

   Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream, if desired.
