  • 3 medium ham hocks
  • 3 small smoked turkey necks
  • 1 small Vidalia onion
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 quart size bags of fresh white acre peas

Directions

    1 Bring the ham hocks, turkey necks, onion, garlic and salt to boil. Reduce heat and cook on low for 45 minutes to one hour.

    2. After the water level has been reduced to mid level of the ham hocks, add the white acre peas to the mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce to low and cook for 45 minutes.

    3. Check occasionally for the desired texture and seasoning. Add more seasoning and cook longer to individual taste.
