3 steps

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 2 whole Granny Smith Apples, Peeled, Cored And Sliced Into Wedges
  • 1/4 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons Lemon Juice

Directions

  1. 1
Melt the butter on medium heat in a cast iron skillet or saute pan. Once butter is melted add the sliced apples, sugar and salt. The butter and sugar will create a delicious, sticky glaze to coat the apples.
  2. 2
Cook the apples over medium heat for 10 minutes, until they begin to soften, but aren't mushy. Add in the cinnamon, nutmeg , vanilla extract and lemon juice. Cook for another 30 seconds, then remove from the heat.
  3. 3
Serve warm. These would be absolutely sinful with some vanilla ice cream.
