- 1 doz. eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 sticks oleo, melted and cooled
- pinch of salt
- approximately 9 c. flour
- 5 heaping tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

2Beat eggs until lemony; add sugar, vanilla and oleo.

3Gradually add flour mixture.

4Mix to make soft dough, adding more flour, if needed.

5Knead a few times until smooth.

6Roll out 1/4-inch thick on floured board.

7Cut in squares; make a slit in center, about 1-inch and slip the corner in slit to make a bow.

8Fry in deep oil until light brown.

9Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
