Fried Cabbage

  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • ground red pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • your favorite meat (Polish sausage, wieners or beef sausage)

Directions

    Wash cabbage; cut in eighths (big chunks).

    Add all ingredients, except meat.

    When about 1/2 done (wilting good), add your favorite meat.

    Add enough water to just keep moist so it doesn't stick or rush them.
