- 1- 1/2 cup Canola Oil
- 1 pound Cleaned Calamari
- 1 cup Flour
- Salt
Directions

1Heat the oil in a deep pot (so any oil that pops wont pop around your kitchen).

2Dry the calamari very well with paper towels.

3Slice into even-sized rings (about 1/4-1/2 inch thickness).

4Pour the flour into a medium-sized bowl and season with just a sprinkle of salt.

5Toss the calamari in the flour, shaking off the excess.

6Once the oil is hot, drop a few pieces of calamari into the oildo not crowd the pot.

7When the calamari turn a light brown color they are done, about 4 minutes.

8Pull them out with a slotted spoon and place on a plate covered with paper towels to catch the excess oil.

9Sprinkle with kosher salt and enjoy!
