- 12 ears fresh white corn
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Remove husks and silks from corn. Cut corn from cobs, scraping cobs to remove all milk.

2Heat butter and bacon drippings in a skillet until hot.

3Add corn, water, salt and pepper.

4Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

5Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently.

6Yields 10 to 12 servings.
