- 4 medium green tomatoes
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- vegetable oil
Directions

1Slice tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices.

2Dredge slices in cornmeal.

3Fry tomatoes in hot oil in a skillet until browned; turning once.

4Drain well on paper towels.

5Sprinkle slices with salt, pepper and sugar.
