- 1 12 lbs okra, washed and drained and thinly sliced
- 2 quarts salt water
- 1 12 cups cornmeal seasoned with salt and pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Directions

1Soak okra in salted water for 30 minutes.

2Drain, rinse, and dry.

3Shake okra in a paper or plastic bag with the seasoned cornmeal.

4In a large skillet or deep fryer, bring vegetable oil to frying temperature 325 to 350.

5Fry until golden brown.

6Drain on paper towels.
