- 1 or 2 lb. tender okra
- corn meal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- hot oil or bacon drippings
Directions

1Wash and drain okra.

2Cut up and roll into corn meal in which the salt has been added.

3Fry in hot oil or bacon drippings; stir frequently.

4When golden brown, take out with spoon with holes and drain on paper towel.

5Serves 6 to 8.
