Fried Okra

Ingredients

  • canola oil
  • 5 pieces bacon chopped
  • okra Fresh, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • bisquick
  • creole seasoning
  • garlic and herb seasoning

Directions

    Heat oil in a cast iron Skillet on medium high. Add pieces of bacon and brown.
  2. 2
    In a separate bowl, mix okra, egg(s) and bisquick until the consistency looks right.
  3. 3
    Add more oil for frying into skillet, and dump okra mixture into skillet to let brown. Season with garlic and herb seasoning.

    When brown enough, let okra drain on a paper towel and serve immediately!

    Optional- add in finely chopped onion.. yum!
