Fried Onion Rings

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 large onions

Directions

    Heat 1-inch of oil in a skillet.

    Mix flour and salt; add milk, oil and egg.

    Beat until smooth.

    Cut onions into 1/4-inch thick slices and separate into rings.

    Dip each ring into batter (drain excess batter over bowl) and drop a few at a time into hot oil heated to 375°.

    Cook until golden brown; drain on paper towels.

    These may be cooled, wrapped and frozen.

    Reheat in a 350° oven about 5 minutes.
