Fried potatoes

  • 5 Potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 An onion diced finely.
  • 1 oil for pan frying the potatoes
  • 1 butter for frying the onion
  • 1 Garlic salt however much you want. I use about a teaspoon or two. I eyeball it.

Directions

    Peel and slice the potatoes using a mandlin or a knife.Wash the potatoes.

    Peel and dice 1/2 the onion finely.
  3. 3
    Save rest of the onion for something else.

    In a skillet heat oil for the potatoes.

    Melt butter in a separate pan about a tablespoon.
  6. 6
    Saute Onions the onions til softened then add garlic salt.
  7. 7
    Continue to saute the onions til browned and have a sweet smell.

    Fry your potatoes til browned and are soft.

    Add the onions to the potatoes and mix.

    Cook them for a few minutes and continue mixing til the onions are scattered through out the potatoes.

    Drain some of the extra grease and plate them up.

    They are ready to eat.

    You can add smoked sausage to this and make just this for dinner or as a side with a meat and vegetable.
