Fried Rice With Pork

Ingredients

  • 2 c. long grain rice
  • 2 c. cold water
  • 2 c. cubed pork
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 1 diced green bell pepper
  • 1 c. diced, baked or fried ham
  • 2 to 3 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. Accent
  • dash of black pepper
  • 2 scrambled eggs, cut in strips

Directions

    Place rice and cold water in 4-quart saucepan; bring to boil. Steam 20 minutes on low heat; set aside to cool.

    Brown pork in slightly greased 10-inch skillet.

    Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes on low heat.

    Add celery, onion and bell pepper; saute 3 minutes.

    Add rice, ham, soy sauce, mushrooms, Accent and pepper. Cook about 5 minutes longer.

    Add eggs and mix.
