Ingredients
- 3 onions
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 5 Tbsp. margarine, divided
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large can yellow hominy, drained
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Directions

1Saute onions and peppers in 3 tablespoons of margarine.

2Add beef and cook until pink disappears.

3Add hominy, chili powder and tomato sauce.

4Spoon into 2-quart casserole dish.

5Melt 2 tablespoons of margarine in a small pan.

6Stir with flour, milk and 1/2 cup cheese.

7Cook and stir constantly until cheese is melted.

8Pour over meat mixture.

9Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake at 350° for about 35 minutes.
