  • 1 large unsliced loaf sandwich bread (order at bakery)
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • 1/2 lb. English cheese, grated
  • 1/2 lb. soft margarine
  • salt to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard

    Remove crusts of bread and cut into 32 cubes.

    Beat egg yolk and add to cheese.

    Beat with margarine and spices.
  4. 4
    Fold into stiffly beaten egg white.
  5. 5
    Use toothpick to hold cubes on five sides.

    At this point, cubes may be put on a cookie sheet and frozen for up to two weeks.

    Place in a 400° oven and bake until puffy and bubbly.
