- 1 stick margarine
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 1/3 c. light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. plain flour
- 1/2 lb. candied cherries
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 2 c. broken pecan pieces
Directions

1Cream the first three ingredients together until smooth.

2Add the next two ingredients into mixture.

3Stir well.

4Grease and flour an oblong cake pan.

5Place 2 cups broken pecan pieces on bottom.

6Wet hands and smooth cream mixture over the nuts.

7Combine in bowl the candied fruit pieces.

8Sprinkle fruits over batter and press evenly into batter.

9Cook 1 hour at 300°.

10Cut while still warm into squares.

11Re-cut and remove when cool.
