- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. dates, pitted and chopped
- 2 c. glazed or candied fruit
- 2 1/2 c. walnuts
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Melt butter; mix with eggs.

2Mix flour, salt, baking powder and salt, then add to egg mixture.

3Mix fruit and nuts; add to batter.

4Spread in two 9-inch square baking pans.

5Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

6Cool; cut into bars and wrap.
