  • 6 eggs
  • 4 sticks margarine or butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1 lb. mixed fruit
  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring

Directions

    Beat butter, sugar and eggs first.

    Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 250° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Soak for 2 days or more with grape juice or wine.
