  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 lb. candied cherries
  • 1 lb. pineapple, cut up
  • 4 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add well beaten eggs.

    Cream well together.

    Sift baking powder and flour twice; add to creamed mixture, then add cherries and remaining ingredients.

    Press into well-greased tube pan and put in cold oven and bake at 250° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
