  • 2 lb. whole dates
  • 1 lb. cherries
  • 1 lb. walnuts
  • 1 lb. Brazil nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cut fruit and nuts into a bowl.

    Sprinkle dry ingredients over them and add beaten eggs.

    Mix well by hand and bake in slow oven at 260° to 300° for 1 3/4 hours.

    Place pan with 2 cups water on bottom shelf while baking.
