- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour (save 1/2 c. flour for fruit)
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 lb. candied cherries
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
- 6 c. chopped nuts
- 2 1/2 c. white raisins
- 1/4 c. brandy or apple juice
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg and add flour slowly.

2Flour fruit and nuts with remaining 1/2 cup of flour.

3Combine all ingredients.

4Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.

5Bake at 250° to 300° for about 35 minutes.
