Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 large can sliced peaches
  • cinnamon

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Place margarine in an oblong baking dish and place dish in oven to melt margarine.

    Pour drained peaches over melted margarine and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Mix remaining ingredients to form a batter and pour over fruit. Sprinkle cinnamon over all and bake for 35 minutes.

    Serve plain with a sprinkling of powdered sugar or with a dollop of Cool Whip. Serves 8.
