  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. fresh or canned fruit, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine

    Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.

    Add milk; beat well.

    Melt butter in a deep baking dish.

    Pour in batter, then add fruit.

    Bake in moderate oven (about 350°) until browned.
