- 2/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. milk
- 2 c. sweetened fruit (peaches, berries, etc.)
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Add sugar.

3Stir in milk (just enough to remove lumps).

4Melt butter in 9 x 9-inch glass baking dish.

5Pour batter into dish.

6Spoon fruit into center of butter.

7Do not stir.

8Bake at 350° until cobbler is risen and lightly browned.
