  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 2 c. sweetened fruit (peaches, berries, etc.)

Directions

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

    Add sugar.

    Stir in milk (just enough to remove lumps).

    Melt butter in 9 x 9-inch glass baking dish.

    Pour batter into dish.

    Spoon fruit into center of butter.

    Do not stir.

    Bake at 350° until cobbler is risen and lightly browned.
